FedEx Office has recently launched a new technology that allows customers easy access to print documents directly from their Blackberry mobile phones and USB flash drives.

The new service, FedEx Office Print and Go, will include a printing feature whereby customers will be able to use their smartphone and USB devices to take advantage of this newly introduced technology. The new solution will be supported by the HP ePrint mobile printing application. The company’s retail locations will provide flexible and convenient access to the new feature, with this being available on select Canon printing devices within FedEx self-service areas.

With the service being available in over 1,600 of its locations, FedEx Office’s new system will be the only print retailer to offer a self-service printing from Blackberry and USB devices throughout the nation. To benefit from this service, customers simply need to plug in their USB drive, or enter a code received to their smartphone into one of FedEx Office’s Print and Go machines. The machines will allow customers to print Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe PDF files. Alternatively, customers will also be able to approach the full-service counter for their printing needs, to have their documents produced by the professional, in-house team members.

President and CEO of FedEx Office, Brain Philips, has said “With the launch of FedEx Office Print and Go, we are giving customers exactly what they have asked for – a convenient and simple way to convert digital content into printed material at FedEx Office locations across the country.”
