Ensuring your goods are packaged properly (Part 1)
In these articles we will be looking at the best ways to ensure that your package is secure and the items inside are not damaged during transit. While you may have insurance on what you are sending, it is up to you to post it in protective packaging, if required.
Some items do not require much in the way of protection. Documents may just need a hard backed envelope, especially if it is an important legal document or something which shouldn’t be bent. You can pick up these special envelopes from any stationery store.
For small parcels containing things like CDs and DVDs, you could purchase padded envelopes, which you can either buy from a wholesaler in bulk - if you send stuff on a regular basis through your business – or, again, you could just go to the shops and buy a few of these padded envelopes.
It all depends on what you are sending and how big or bulky the item(s) are.
