Choosing the right service for your shipping needs (Part 2)

Next on the list of services you can decide to opt for include sea and air freight shipping services - with both described below.

Air Freight Service

Air freight is perfect for when you have to send heavier shipments and this service can be used to deliver to more than 900 airports in the world. If you require a delivery direct to the door, then this option is available on request. Otherwise the carrier will arrange for the airline to deliver the package just to the destination airport.

Sea Freight Service

Again, if you need to send bulky or heavy shipments, but do not have the need for it to get there as urgently, sea freight may be your best option. The consolidated service means that parcels can be delivered to more than 700 destinations.

The collection in the UK is normally made by DHL, unless an independent courier is arranged instead. The minimum requirement for using sea freight is either 1,000kg in weight or 1 cubic metre in size.
