Ad campaign by courier honoured with award
The ‘international specialists’ ad was chosen ahead of 3,000 other nominees at the Stevie Awards, which has been going since 2002 and is officially titled the International Business Awards.
Chief executive officer of DHL Express, Ken Allen, said:
"This award reaffirms our leadership claim of being the international specialists in the global express industry. It is a strong endorsement of the success of our global advertising campaign and epitomises our brand qualities of excellence, speed, and efficiency."
The winning ad has been shown in 25 different languages, while featuring on 280 television stations. In addition to this, it has appeared in print publications too.
The Stevie Awards were devised to publically recognise the efforts and achievements of businesses based across the globe, so DHL is certainly in esteemed company.
RS Owens, the firm that produces the statuettes for the Oscars, designed the 16-inch trophy, which is made from 24-carat gold and features a crystal pyramid as a nod to the psychology theory known as Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.
