How the panda shipment is to be carried out by FedEx

On January 15 it is expected that the male and female pandas will be flown from China to France in a specially-chartered cargo aircraft. Two transport containers have been custom-built for the trip, with animal care experts onboard to accompany the pandas. The panda-decaled Boeing 777F non-stop flight will take them from Chengdu Airport and arrive in Roissy-Charles de Gaulle Airport.

From there, FedEx Express have arranged for a specially-decaled vehicle to take the animals to the zoo. All necessary precautions have been made for the journey which will carry them to the giant panda enclosures at ZooParc de Beauval, which have been built especially for these endangered animals.

This whole operation has been carefully planned with cooperation from all of the parties involved. From the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in China to ZooParc de Beauval in France, FedEx Express has collaborated with the two organisations to make sure every base is covered.
