Bahrain the setting for introduction of new DHL fleet
This event is now in its second year and those visitors fortunate enough to attend this year’s spectacle will be able to witness DHL’s upgraded fleet first hand. Here, you will be able to see the Boeing 757-200, as well as the 747-400, which is also due for an appearance.
The company has had a presence in Bahrain for 35 years now and its regional hub has served the area and its international shipments during this time. DHL Express has therefore invited all its customers to attend the air show as guests of the courier.
Nour Sulaiman, DHL Middle East and North Africa chief executive, said:
"This year's Bahrain International Airshow 2012 is a key event for DHL Express, and reinforces the kingdom's position as a gateway to the rest of the Middle East and a logistics hub for the region.
"Last year's show saw $1 billion worth of deals signed by international participants, and the unprecedented growth the aviation sector is experiencing over recent years is expected to continue well into 2020, so I expect to see this figure increase at the 2012 show."
