TNT prepared for delivery in all weather


Despite the snow and freezing temperatures experienced over the last few weeks, this time the express carrier is better prepared – after learning lessons from the winter of 2010. Back then, TNT was still generally praised by customers for its service reliability, but the company still aims for perfection.

Director of operations TNT Express UK & Ireland, Simon Harper, said:

“While the ‘Sure We Can’ attitude of our people got parcels delivered, things could have been better in respect of internal communication, the visibility of our service capability for senders and receivers and our contingency planning.”


TNT has now invested in additional gritting equipment in certain areas of the UK and Ireland where it has key operations. It has also adopted new procedures and makes use of state-of-the-art internet technology to provide customers with fast and accurate information.
