Manchester United legends attend DHL event in Dubai
The retired footballers were available to talk to DHL employees and customers at the Shangri-La Hotel as part of the international courier’s global tour. They both signed autographs and discussed their memories of playing for Manchester United with interested guests at the event. Some even managed to get their photographs taken with the Premier League trophy.
Country manager of DHL Express in the UAE, Frank-Uwe Ungerer, said:
"The visit of Manchester United’s Champ19ns Trophy Tour to Dubai provides us with a unique opportunity to showcase DHL’s behind-the-scenes operations with Manchester United to our key customers and staff locally, and it was great for our customers and staff to have the opportunity to meet Andy Cole and Lee Sharpe and to see the Premier League trophy up close."
Following this latest stop, the Champ19ns Trophy Tour is set to visit a number of other countries in this part of the world, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Abu Dhabi.
The international courier is delivering this event as part of its commitment to the club in winning its record 19th domestic title and its 12th since the Premier League was formed back in 1992. During the tour 27 countries will have been visited, clocking up a remarkable 48,000 miles in total.
