Premier League Trophy delivered to China by DHL
As Manchester United’s official logistics partner, DHL is to deliver the silverware from Turkey to the eager fans waiting in this part of the world on Saturday 17 March.
The flight will include representatives from the club, including former Reds Viv Anderson and Ronny Johnson. After this event, another United player, in the form of Jesper Blomqvist, will join the party as it visits Shanghai between Sunday and Tuesday.
In China it is estimated that there are 72 million fans of Manchester United and so some will get a chance to see the trophy for themselves as well as having pictures taken with the former United stars. In-store activities are planned for the events along with a number of fan parties.
The shipping giant will be playing a huge role behind the scenes as it continues its lucrative partnership with the famous football club, taking the trophy the full 48,000 miles of the tour.
