Swissport International has released figures showing their total revenue for last year as being 2.1 billion Swiss francs, an increase of an impressive 11% increase compared to 2012.
Swissport has said the successful increase was partly to do with recovering cargo markets, with their airfreight tonnage being up by 18.4%.
Another contribution to the increase for the company is also a result of the various contracts Swissport has taken on board. The Flightcare acquisition, completed in 2012, saw growth for the company, as well as contract wins in the form of a multi-year contract with Etihad Cargo, a five year agreement with Germanwings covering 11 countries, and the development of business within Morocco.
The President and Chief Executive Officer of Swissport International has said: “The 2013 overall growth for the group was in line with expectations, as we continue to capture market share.”
