US parcel delivery giant UPS has recently announced it is to open six new UPS Express centres throughout Mexico. The locations of the new UPS points have been strategically chosen, including Mexico City, Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo and State of Mexico.

The opening of the new facilities will mean the parcel delivery company has a total of 20 UPS Express centres, and over 390 Access Points throughout the whole country. The centres will enable UPS to expand upon its already expansive shopping portfolio to attract more customers, providing them with efficient and effective solutions and services for their parcel delivery needs.

The new locations will offer services including personalised consulting, convenient package pickup services for customers situated within less than one mile, multiple customer care lines to reduce waiting times and designated self-service areas to help customers prepare their own shipments.

David Hopkins, UPS Mexico Marketing Director, has commented: “The addition of these new UPS Express centres demonstrates our on-going commitment to continue providing more solutions for our customers, offering them more options to conduct their business through our comprehensive network. Hopkins also added: “With guaranteed shipping and greater visibility that allows our customers to track their packages online, we will continue delivering the world-class services that our customers require.”
