FedEx Express has recently partnered up with Saudi Arabian business group Abdul Latif Jameel Group. Having headquarters in Jeddah, Suadi Arabia and Dubai, the company employs 15,800 globally and has become a key service provider for FedEx Express.

After being active in Saudi Arabia for more than 20 years, FedEx is now able to use the Saudi conglomerate’s market expertise and experience in the bid to help it reach its growth of between 5% and 8% by the year 2020.

Senior Vice-President of FedEx Express for the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa operations, David Ross, has said: “This strategic relationship with Abdul Latif Jameel Group aligns with our ‘customer first’ philosophy that denies our commitment to make every FedEx experience outstanding.” Ross continued: “Together, we will grow the business and deliver excellent service to customers. As a large contributor to international trade, out current and prospective customers will continue to benefit from world-class shipping solutions, access and enhanced connectivity.”

Abdul Latif Jameel Group currently operates in 17 different countries within the Middle East, North Africa and Europe. Chairman and President of the company, Mohammed Abdul Latif Jemeel, has said: “Our Group’s 60 years of logistics experience, combined with our customer-centric approach, are the pillars that will support FedEx Express in becoming the premier transportation provider in the country, and a vital contributor to the Saudi Arabian economy.”
