Effective packaging plays a vital role in shipping goods abroad, no matter if you use an Air Freight, Sea Freight or International Courier Service.

Avoid damages to your shipment

Ideally your packaging should withstand drops from waist height. There are various causes for damages to your shipment such as

  • accidental damage
  • or atmospheric conditions.

Rather than to save on packaging, you should purchase good, sturdy and if necessary, custom-made packaging material.

Enhanced Transit Liability

If you are sending items of personal or commercial value, you may wish to consider purchasing Enhanced Transit Liability.

  • By adding ETL to your order, your shipment will be covered against any loss or damages for up to a maximum replacement value of £1000.
  • You may also decide to take out extra insurance with a third party in case should your consignment value exceeds £1000.

Please also ensure that all hazardous symbols are removed if you are reusing old boxes or packaging. Parcels containing these symbols will be stopped by the courier and may incur a fine.
