DHL Freight is on course to expand its freight network. The company recently opened an office near Almaty, Kazakhstan. The new premises are located at two major transport ways – the Transport Corridor Europe Caucasus Asia (TRACEA) and the Great Almaty Circle Motor Road (BAKAD), making it a key hub between Europe, Russia and China.

“This new transit point makes a faster delivery time for our customers possible – not only for Europe, Russia and China but also in Kazakhstan itself. At the same time, this investment will contribute to further economic growth of this country, which has the key role as the access point to Central Asia”, said Stefano Arganese, CEO of DHL Freight Central Eastern Southern Europe & Americas, the Middle East and Asia.

In future business and private customers will benefit from cross-docking, shunting and crane. A bespoke warehouse management system will optimise the flow, registration and maintenance of incoming goods.

Thanks to its geographically ideal location, DHL Freight hopes that its new premises will help strengthen its position as one of the most important freight companies in Kazakhstan and attract new customers.
