Transglobal Express launches new UPS Access Point service

• A new flexible, UK parcel delivery option through UPS
• Customers choose to drop off or pick up parcels at a convenient time and location
• Shippers can send up to 15kg for a fixed price

Transglobal Express is pleased to launch a new UK parcel service delivered through the extensive network of trusted carrier UPS. The flexible new service enables customers to make use of the thousands of UPS Access Points across the country to organise their parcel collections and deliveries. Customers can choose either to drop off their parcels at a convenient location near to their home or workplace, to have their parcel delivered to an Access Point, or both. In this way, shippers no longer need to wait in for a collection or delivery and can make their parcel deliveries fit around their own timetables and availability.

Flexibility and price

Transglobal's Marketing Manager, Chris Marr, identified flexibility and price as the main advantages of the new servce: "While Transglobal Express is most renowned for its door-to-door courier services, this is a more flexible parcel delivery option," he said “As well as affording customers more flexibility and control over when and where their parcel is dropped off and collected, this service offers an even lower price than our door-to-door UK parcel delivery services. For a fixed price of £7.49 plus VAT, customers can book the UPS Access Point service for parcels up to 15kg in weight and up to 80cm in length – a significant saving on a door-to-door service which is likely to be of interest to personal shippers."

Responding to Customer demand

Transglobal’s Manager Director, Lawson Archer, said that the new service was being introduced as a result of customer demand: “Our customers appreciate our competitive rates for international parcel delivery, but with the rise in e-commerce and the increasing volume of parcels moving within the UK, we were aware of the increasing need for a flexible and good value UK parcel delivery option. UPS Access Point offers just that: great prices, a reliable carrier and total flexibility.”

The new service is being rolled out UK wide, and Transglobal has not ruled out expanding the service across Europe in line with customer demand.
