The survey, conducted by INTTRA Technology Outlook, saw the response surpass other potential technology priorities such as the need for strategies in ‘big’ data, cloud networking and mobile devices.

It was also revealed from the survey that challenges the shipping industry face when wanting to enhance their supply chain. The respondents detailed “lack of standardisation, hindering automation” as a top challenge they experience which shows concerns in not having a collective format to reduce the complexity of data.
