TNT has recently revealed it has signed up to a 5-year contract deal with Accenture. This comes as part of the parcel delivery company’s aim to drive focus towards core express delivery, reducing indirect costs and improve operational efficiencies.
Under the new contract, Accenture will manage transactional activities specifically in relation to finance and accounting. The new partnership is expected to allow TNT to join together its back-office operations.
Maarten de Vries, TTN’s Chief Financial Officer, has said: “Accenture’s BPO services will allow TNT to focus on what we do best: delivering our customers’ express parcels and pallets, while enhancing our cost-efficiency and flexibility.”
The contract is scheduled to take place between 2015 and 2017, whereby TNT will discuss the plans and social measures.
