A team of seven rugby players has travelled around Africa for the last eleven months for DHL’s "Africa as One" campaign. They made their way through 45 different countries, following a single rugby ball as it was passed from person to person.
Completed in the run-up to the 2015 Rugby World Cup, the trip has been documented through film, photographs and the written word, in an attempt to offer the rest of the world a glimpse of daily life in these African countries.
For DHL, it’s been an ambitious logistics challenge, having to account for terrain, team security, and health and safety issues. As part of their corporate social responsibility, the campaign included the provision of free eye tests through a partnership with the international charity Mercy Ships.
