Pope may cause iPhone delivery delays on the East Coast

It’s difficult to tell which event will inspire the most religious fervour: the Pope’s visit to the East Coast next week, or the release of Apple’s new iPhone 6s. But the Pope’s upcoming trip may cause delays for those hoping to get their hands on their new iPhones.

Delivery services including UPS and FedEx are expecting shipment delays due to heightened security and road closures in New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. between September 22nd (today) and September 26th (Saturday).

Deliveries and pickups will not be available in certain zip codes during this period, according to UPS’ service updates.

It is not known whether the Pope himself is also expecting a new iPhone delivery.
