UPS has opened a new contract logistics centre in the UK to cope with increasing customer demand from the retail and high-tech sectors. The new facility is located in North Warwickshire near the existing Birch Coppice sorting hub, with global access via their hub at East Midlands Airport.

The centre was opened by local Member of Parliament (MP) Craig Tracey, who commended the company for their commitment to the local area.

According to their press release, the new facility gives them an extra 13,000 square metres of warehousing space. UPS now has more than 500 supply chain facilities in over 120 countries around the world.
