Transglobal Express supports the Transglobe Expedition Trust and the Coxless Crew

Transglobal Express is pleased to announce our support of the Transglobe Expedition Trust and the intrepid Coxless Crew rowing team. The Coxless Crew is a team of six women who have set out on a rowing journey of over 8,000 miles from Los Angeles, U.S.A., to Cairns, Australia.

The aim of the expedition is to inspire schoolchildren and to raise funds for two important causes: Breast Cancer Care and Walking With The Wounded. The Crew’s patron is none other than singer and actress Kylie Minogue.

The team set off last April and are now nearing Vanuatu and the Coral Sea, approximately three quarters of the way through their journey. Their estimated time of arrival in Cairns will be early January.

When they make it to Cairns, Transglobal Express has promised to ship their boat “Doris”—29ft long and weighing one tonne—from Cairns back to the UK, along with their equipment. In support of this fantastic mission, we will be covering all shipping costs.

The Transglobe Expedition Trust supports young people who set out on ground-breaking projects that extend the bounds of human achievement and have a humanitarian, scientific or educational purpose.

We wish the best of luck to Laura, Emma, Natalia and Meg for the final leg of their journey. Well done to Izzy and Lizanne who rowed earlier sections.
