Amazon has revealed its first ever air freighter. Amazon One made its first public appearance and inaugural flight at Seafair’s Air Show in Seattle this weekend, the city where Amazon was founded.

The plane is a Boeing 767-300F, one of 40 aircraft that have been leased to Amazon by Atlas Air and ATSG.

Branded specifically with the livery of Prime Air, Amazon’s budding air transportation network, the freighter is the first step in Amazon’s plan to expand capacity and increase delivery speeds for Amazon Prime subscribers, supporting one- and two-day package delivery in the US.

“In an ode to its Prime members,” the company said in a press release, “Amazon’s first airplane in its dedicated fleet features a tail number made up of a Prime number.”
