FedEx expands cargo operations in Hong Kong

The move has increased the size of its operations there by almost 40 per cent as it looks to increase efficiency and provide a stronger commitment to delivering its parcels to customers on time.

New equipment was also added to the facility, while additional staff have now been drafted in to work in the newly-created office space. A purpose-built storage area has been installed now that the floor space has been expanded by 37 per cent.

With 4,695sqm now to work with, the company expects that these cargo centre improvements mean that three freighter loads can be processed in less than 45 minutes.

Managing director, FedEx Express Hong Kong and Macau, Anthony Leung, said:

"The expansion of our Hong Kong airport facility reinforces our commitment to continuously improve our customers’ experience with FedEx."

"The Hong Kong airport facility is constantly ranked number one in on-time performance among all FedEx facilities around the world."

"This expansion will further strengthen our ability to ensure our customers’ satisfaction and ease of mind with FedEx reliable, efficient service."
