TNT Post renews contract with Scottish public sector agency

Planned mailings will be handled by Royal Mail in accordance with the current service provision.

Meanwhile, Scottish Procurement has tasked TNT Post with providing ad hoc mail services to organisations in the public sector within this country as well as bringing in a hybrid mail service.

A spokesperson for Scottish Procurement said:

"Hybrid mail achieves environmental benefits, it will also reduce expenditure on stationery whilst ensuring that the most optimum tariff through TNT Post is achieved."

TNT Post, which is part of PostNL, a Dutch postal services company, will produce the mail physically. All mail pieces will be created electronically by each organisation and sent to the production site to be printed.

Chief executive for TNT Post UK, Nick Wells, said:

"We are delighted to win this contract for a second time with an expanded remit. Our proven service quality combined with cost saving won the day and with the addition of hybrid post, we look forward to strengthening our partnership with the public sector in Scotland."
