Following terrorist attacks in Belgium that left 31 dead in total, cargo flights have resumed at Brussels Airport, but passenger flights remain suspended.
Initially all flights, passenger and freight, were suspended after two explosions in Brussels Airport's departure hall and a simultaneous attack in the Maelbeek metro station. The Islamic State has since claimed responsibility for these attacks.
Brussels Airport has been unable to give an indication of when passenger flights will resume, as the crime scene investigation is ongoing. The airport held a wake for the victims on the evening of March 23rd, with airport staff and management in attendance.
