DHL Freight has recently relocated its operations processing in Western Denmark to a new terminal in Taulov, situated near Kolding. The new hub has a floor size of 5,700 square meters, with its location in proximity to the logistically key highways, E20 and E45.

Ole Moerk, Head of DHL Freight Denmark, has commented: “We decided to consolidate our three cross dock operations in Skanderborg, Padborg and Edbjerg early 2012. The new state-of-the-art terminal will not just benefit us by reducing complexity and costs, its excellent access to Denmark’s most important trade lanes will also improve efficiency and service quality for our customers.”

Located in the industrial area of Taulov, the new terminal is built on a total area of 38,000 square meters, providing potential for further expansion in the future. DHL’s new build will feature 42 docks, enabling the company to have all of their LTL collections and deliveries covered across the majority of Western Denmark.

DHL Freight currently also operates at various areas of Denmark, with an additional 12,000 square meters worth of space in regions such as Padborg, Aalborg and Brondby.
