Parcel delivery company DPD has recently launched its new online platform, designed specifically to act as a “digital remote control” for its customers when managing their parcel deliveries. The new Parcel Navigator will enable customers to arrange their parcel delivery to fit in with their own personal schedule and daily routine.

The new platform will enable customers to provide alternative details regarding their parcel delivery, such as a different address or for items to be left in a safe, secure place. Other options will including having parcels redirected to a DPD Parcel Shop for collection; customers will be able to view a map of local DPD locations to choose from.

Michael Knaupe, the B2C Products and Services Director at DOD GeoPost has said: “Recipients of DPD packages can use a smartphone or tablet to ensure their delivery adapts to their lives – and not the other way round. DPD’s new Parcel Navigator makes it easier than ever before.”

Aside from being available online, DPD’s Parcel Navigator is also available as an app from the Apple and Andriod stores. Customers using the feature will receive an email introducing the new service when their parcel is on its way.
