Restricted items for EU countries
New customs rules have applied to UK-EU shipments since 1st January 2021. There may be restrictions on particular goods that were not in place before.
Here are some of the most common prohibited or restricted items for EU countries. These may apply in addition to our generic list of prohibited and restricted goods.

- Mobile phones and accessories
- Negatives (including X-rays)
- Passports
- Personal effects
- Plant-based products
- Seeds
- Soil samples
- Tea
- Textiles (wool, cotton)
Please note: some restrictions may be carrier-specific. You should refer to the full list of restricted goods for your chosen carrier and destination before booking your shipment. The following carriers have released overviews of restrictions in EU countries:
