DHL and Austrian Post collaborate in Slovakia and Czech Republic

DHL is boosting its collaborating with Austrian Post to support last-mile deliveries in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

Starting in September 2019, Austrian Post subsidiary In Time s.r.o. will deliver for DHL in Slovakia, while DHL subsidiary PPL CZ s.r.o. will deliver for Austrian Post in Czechia.

The focus for both companies is expanding their cross-border e-commerce operations.

“With e-commerce on the rise and growing parcel volumes high quality and best-in-class customer experience in last-mile-delivery becomes increasingly a key differentiator and with this cooperation we will lay the right foundation for this,” said Petr Horak, Managing Director of DHL Parcel Slovensko and PPL CZ.

According to DHL, the new agreement will have no impact on the company’s existing business operations in either country, for any of its divisions.

European e-commerce is expected to be worth around €621 billion by the end of 2019.
