Postponed VAT Accounting (PVA) was introduced by HMRC on 1st January 2021 as a way for businesses to account for VAT on shipments being imported to the UK (where applicable).

It allows businesses to account for VAT in their VAT return rather than paying at the point of entry into the UK.

Until now, DHL Express has operated PVA on a customer “opt-in” basis. However, from 1st February 2022, the company will automatically apply PVA for all VAT-registered customers whenever import VAT is due.

This will apply to our TG Express and TG Economy import services.
