FedEx Express has opened a new 50,000 square foot facility in Blarney Business Park, Cork, Ireland.
The facility, which cost €11.7 million, is close to Shannon Airport and will also help to connect previously separate teams in the region.
It comes with on-site dock levellers for faster loading of goods and has been built in accordance with FedEx’s aim of carbon neutrality by 2040, with EV chargers, LED lighting, and a design that will allow for the installation of solar panels.
According to FedEx, the facility should improve operational performance, leading to quicker collection and delivery times.
