A new partnership between UPS and the Hong Kong Airport Authority intends to enhance UPS service to customers, and improve operations in Asia, with a new hub.
UPS Hong Kong will use the new building as its primary processing, exporting, and transhipping hub for shipments to and from Asia, the United States, and across Europe.
By 2028, the hub is expected to be finished and fully operating, with a yearly capacity of about one million tonnes. According to UPS, this will give the company its global clients stronger and more dependable connectivity to Asia and their expanding consumer market.
This most recent investment is a component of a larger UPS strategy that intends to sustain the growth of the Greater Bay area and assist in meeting changing customer and shipping demands.
UPS says that in order to provide its customers with improved cross-border connectivity, more capacity, and an outstanding customer experience, they plan to keep making investments in Asia Pacific in the years to come.
