UPS has announced a new security procedure affecting all international shipments where collected from a residential address. As part of this update, drivers will now ask to see government-issued photo identification when picking up your parcel.
What this means for you?
The individual handing over the package to the UPS driver must show a valid government-issued photo ID for the parcel to be collected. This could be a passport, driver's license, or identity card.
If no ID is shown, or if the ID has expired or doesn’t resemble the person handing over the parcel, the driver will not accept the shipment.
Important information
These security procedures apply to any international shipment sent via UPS Express or UPS Express Saver service between any of the listed countries* where collecting from a residential address.
