Following the FedEx takeover of TNT Express, ASL Aviation Group has acquired TNT Airways in Belgium and Pan Air Líneas Aéreas in Spain.
ASL’s offer was conditional on the FedEx takeover, which was announced on May 25th. The company has also entered into a new several-year agreement to operate flights for FedEx-TNT while continuing to serve other customers.
TNT Express’ Eurohub in Liege is not included as part of the deal, but the TNT Airways hubs in Liege and Madrid now belong to ASL.
There are no changes to existing flight schedules or service interruption as an immediate result of the deal, as ASL has taken over the flights currently in operation.
With the addition of 35 aircraft, ASL now owns a total of nine airlines and 130 cargo and passenger aircraft.
ASL has not disclosed the financial details of the deal.
