DHL and MOGS form Partnership for New African Energy Centre

The worldwide logistics provider and express parcel delivery company, DHL, has joined South Africa’s Mining Oil and Gas Services (MOGS) as a partner supporting the development of the new Oilfield Services Complex in Saldanha, South Africa.
Last May, the Saldanha office in Langbaan was opened by the MOGS. Since then its aim has been to service major oil companies and MNCs by providing a multi-phased development with first-class facilities, infrastructure and land.
“Logistics is a key element of the OSC and it is exciting to become a strategic patner at an early stage, where we can be involved in the development of Saldanha’s air, sea and ground infrastructure”,
said Thomas Nieszer, CEO, Europe, Middle East and Africa DHL Global Forwarding.
The parcel services and logistics company is going to deliver a range of service including bonded chartering services, warehousing, air freight, road services, facility management and others.
Errol Gregor, CEO of MOGS stated that he was confident in DHL as their new logistics partner and expressed his hopes in becoming “a one-stop shop for the offshore energy industry in Africa.”
