eBay's shipping system ran into technical trouble on Sunday, leaving sellers unable to print their shipping labels for some international and domestic orders.

According to an official notice posted by eBay, sellers sending to customers in other countries found themselves unable to print labels for the First Class International service. There was also an issue with First Class shipping calculations if the item weight was between 13 and 15.99 ounces.

These issues may have had something to do with a recent update of USPS rates, and a new rule prohibiting merchandise from being sent using the First Class Mail International – Flats/Large Envelopes service. However, this has not been verified.

eBay sellers are automatically enrolled in the company’s Global Shipping Programme. However, sellers can choose to opt out and use a third party shipping company instead.
