Customs information for Canada

All shipments from the UK to Canada require customs clearance. This means that all parcels to Canada must be accompanied by a customs invoice and declaration, detailing the contents and value of your consignment.

We will produce this for you automatically—just be sure to include detailed, accurate descriptions of your goods during the booking process. Businesses can use their own commercial invoices if preferred.

Canada has its own customs rules that you’ll need to familiarise yourself with. For example, personal effects must be cleared at the customs office by the receiver in person and may not be exempt from customs taxes.
