A Cathay Pacific plane was spotted at Hong Kong International Airport with an unusual feature: a missing letter F.
The airline’s name was spelt CATHAY PACIIC along the side of the plane, apparently due to a stencilling error.
Cathay Pacific made light of the mishap on Twitter, commenting: “Oops this special livery won’t last long! She’s going back to the shop!”

It’s not clear who was to blame, though it is likely to cost a few thousand dollars to fix.
However, an engineer for Haeco, the subsidiary of Cathay Pacific responsible for maintenance and repair, seemed to doubt that it was truly a mistake.
“The spacing is too on-point for a mishap,” he said. “We have stencils. Should be a blank gap in between letters if it was a real mistake I think.”
