Parcel companies including FedEx and DHL have confirmed that they will not be collecting or delivering parcels in the UK on Monday 19th September, the day of the state funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

It was announced that the day would be a national bank holiday, to mark the last day of national mourning. However, there is no statutory entitlement to time off for workers and the decision has been left to individual employers on whether or not to suspend business.

Most courier companies have chosen to observe the occasion, as have Royal Mail and Amazon.

Transglobal Express will also be closed for the day. We will be open as normal on Saturday 17th September, 9am-1pm, and back in the office on Tuesday 20th.

Parcel deliveries in transit may experience delays of 24 hours. There may also be localised service disruption in the run-up to the day of the funeral due to road closures, particularly in Central London.
