Transglobal Express launches new DPD Classic service

• New delivery partnership with renowned carrier

Following the successful launch of its new UPS Access Point™ service in April, worldwide courier and air and sea freight forwarder Transglobal Express is pleased to announce the launch of DPD Classic, the company's second new service of 2014.

The DPD Classic service will complement the company's European parcel delivery offer, providing heavily discounted prices for deliveries across Europe from one of the world's most renowned carriers. The new service offers a set price for parcels weighing up to 31kg, meaning that customers shipping consignments at the heavier end of the scale can take advantage of some of the most competitive prices per kilo on the market.

Since the expansion of its web development team and the subsequent launch of its new website in November 2013, Transglobal has greatly increased its technical capacity and is planning to deliver many more new services and innovations as the year progresses. The DPD Classic service is of special note because it will make Transglobal even more competitive in the European Parcel delivery market. "Our customers use Transglobal to ship to every country in the world, but we are most renowned for being especially competitive for extra-EU countries included the USA, Australia and China" said Chris Marr, Marketing Manager, "This new partnership with DPD will reward our loyal customers with even better rates for European parcel delivery and will also win us new customers who typically ship within the EU."

The addition of a DPD service to Transglobal's repertoire of over 20 parcel delivery options means that the company can now count a fifth world-renowned carrier among its parcel delivery partners. A partnership with DPD is especially welcome given its reputation as a pioneer of carbon neutral shipping and Terri McGarry, Customer Services manager, anticipates that this will be of great interest to Transglobal's customer-base: "From the conversations I have with customers every day, I know that many of the businesses and individuals that ship with us are concerned about the impact of their parcel deliveries on the environment. The DPD Classic service is bookable both online and via telephone and offers transit times of 1-6 days to most European nations.
