We did it! Our charity bikeathon in aid of the Clatterbridge Cancer Charity

We completed our bikeathon for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity! Between 27 of us, we rode a total of 1,434.83 kilometres, or 891.56 miles.

Mission more than accomplished—not only would we have made it all the way to our office in Germany, but we’d have made part of the journey back, too!

In all, donations from our team members, friends, family and customers totalled £1,104.60. Funds were raised through bikeathon sponsorship, as well as for various activities last year including a doughnut day and a Santa Dash.

As promised, we matched our total raised (as of 12pm on Friday), bringing the final amount to £2,189.20 (plus £148.50 in Gift Aid). This is just short of double as we’ve had one or two donations since!

Going the distance

Here was our cycling breakdown across the five days:

Monday: 322.4km

Tuesday: 318.5km

Wednesday: 314.30km

Thursday: 317.10km

Friday: 162.53km (early finish)

Our top cyclist was Angela, who cycled 60.52km in two incredible hour-long sessions in a single day!
