Royal Mail is still working through its backlog of international shipments after a ransomware attack last month, which left hundreds of thousands of letters and parcels stuck in transit.
The company subsequently asked customers not to try to send any overseas parcels that require a customs declaration. On January 18th, it resumed international services in limited volumes, prioritising parcels already within the network.
According to Royal Mail, all destinations have now been reinstated and volumes are almost back to normal. However, there are still some delays. In addition, international shipments cannot be purchased over the counter, only online.
Royal Mail could not confirm when service issues would be fully resolved.
